Thursday...back home

Still standing, pretty much as we left things. We have returned home and the allergies have returned as well. C'était un voyage très bon.

Our last day in Montreal

Sandy and Janet took us out to eat for our last evening in Montreal. We met at Casa Greque which is located on rue Prince-Arthur. This street is closed to vehicles and is lined with restaurants of nearly any cuisine. Most of them allow you to bring your own wine or beer for your meal.

There is no shortage of buskers around here. They are all quite good as they are required to get licensed and pass auditions.

Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

Wednesday we went to the art museum, Musee des Beaux-Arts. We were lucky enough to be there for the Cuban art exhibit. This is one exhibit that will not be shown in the United States any time soon. It was both wonderful and enlightening.

Tuesday May 13

This was a very busy day but not many photo ops. Here we are at a pizzeria in the Village. The weather was so nice they threw the windows open. The top photo is typical of the buildings in this area with apartments above one or two stories of restaurants or boutique shops.

Jardin Nelson. A very popular spot for brunch.

All the seating is outdoors. They have an ingenious system of mechanical awnings and umbrellas and space heaters to accommodate a wide range of weather conditions.

"Catching up" for the first time. Around the table, Toni, Bill, Ron LeBlanc, son, Bryon, Bryon's wife, Myrna, then Bill Cullen's daughter, Catherine and her boyfriend, Andrew. Bryon is a grandson of Peggy Nosworthy Johnston (and my second cousin) and Catherine is a great granddaughter of Myrtle Nosworthy (and my second cousin once removed).
